What we do

We are a small business, owned by two partners who work full-time in the business. Mitch does project management, scheduling, estimating, and contracting. Luke is our main on-site supervisor and quality-control guru.

We maintain a crew of 4 to 7 workers and strive to provide them with a meaningful job for a livable wage. We hire quality people and train for quality skills.

We (Luke and Mitch) both got started in construction in the 2000’s, and worked our way up from the bottom. We have both been hands-on at every level and phase of construction, both residential and commercial. Both own buildings they have built with their own hands. We know first-hand what works and what doesn’t. We know what lasts and what falls apart.

We have worked in both contracting and sub-contracting. We have run crews for others and for ourselves. We know what makes a project run smoothly, and what can derail it, and what a great general contractor looks like.

Most of our experience is hands-on and in the field. FHB is now focused on general contracting, where we can take our experience and perspective as workers, leaders, specialty contractors and carpenters, and translate it into real-world excellence in project management and partnership in your next project.

Mitch believes there is no such thing as too much communication, and Luke believes there is no reason to let poor quality pass.

We believe if both parties operate on good faith, and the contractor provides competent and knowledgeable leadership: no project needs to be overly stressful, no sub-contractor needs to be frustrated or ripped off, and no customer needs to be less than satisfied and happy with both the final build and the experience.

Therefore our goal is to provide competent, honest, clear leadership for your project. We have no hidden costs, no secret margins, no BS.
